We are located on the California City Airport, ten miles north of Mojave, five miles east of highway 14. From Los Angeles: take highway 5 north to highway 14 north; approx 2 hours drive. Main Rwy 06-24 is 6035'x55' (ASPH). Two dirt glider
strips 2000'x150' (Rwy 24) and 1600'x150' (Rwy 06) are constructed 325' south of Rwy 06-24
centerline. East ldg strip paved 1000'x30'.Glider traffic is left for both Rwys.
Power traffic is right for Rwy 24. Parachute drop zones are at the south-west corner of the field and active daily. |
Camping is allowed on the airport, with showers available. Motels are within twelve miles and we have a restaurant on the field. Glider trailer tiedowns, $25 month. RVs are welcome, full hookup services.
We cater to special flying interests. Long term housing, cross-country, mountain wave, badge flights, or racing/training rentals are all available. We host events and safaris throughout Southern California.
